Lying on the Barcoo River this 124,000 hectare park can be accessed by travelling from Jundah, Windorah, Blackall or Quilpie. Barcoo Historical Museum

The Barcoo Historical Museum was opened on the 13th of October 1989 and was instigated by a group of Barcoo Shire women who saw the need to preserve the history of the shire and the communities within. The museum reflects a glimpse of the past and displays antique mortuary tools, an old RFDS medicine kit, kerosene-case furniture and further relics from pioneer days. The museum committee also undertook the restoration of two wagons and after many voluntary hours they are now displayed in the Barcoo Shire Memorial Park.
